Every child who goes to the circus has the dream of someday running away and joining the circus. The clowns, acrobats, animals and mimes amaze a child, the excitement takes their minds to a fantasy filled place that they dream of from years to come.
For Michael Mesa as a small boy he to went to the circus and his eye was taken by a circus mime. How amazing it was to him that they could make it seem as his they were walking up the stairs or climbing a rope but not really be doing it or have any type of props. It truly amazed Michael Mesa and he started practicing at home, putting on little shows for friends and family. Everyone told him how great he was but he knew he wasn’t any where near as good as the circus mimes.
Throughout grade school Michael Mesa trained, working hard to become a mime. Kids would laugh at him for having a dream of becoming a mime. Yes it was a little unusual but when you are truly good at something and it calls to you ignoring it just sets you up for a life of unhappiness. So ignoring the taunts of class mates and his parents begging him to just go to college and become a Doctor, Michael Mesa joined Florida’s school for miming and met many others just like him.
By time of graduation, Michael Mesa was at the top of his class. He was truly talented and everyone saw it. His parents were proud of what Michael Mesa had become. Soon after Michael Mesa joined Florida states largest circus, preforming night after night for children and adults. Filling their minds with wonder and excitement. Michael Mesa hopes to inspire young children to become mimes and to follow their dreams, to run away and join the circus if they really want to. To live a life of magic and wonder, the life of a mime. Michael Mesa has a gift, a gift to give.
